Fourth of July Criterium
The Fourth of July Criterium can legitimately be called a “classic” race – a Northern California institution started in 1976. The event features all day racing in downtown Davis for most categories, including a kid’s fun race. This race includes a generous prize list and is known for its technical eight-corner course. Past winners include Greg Lemond, Mike Sayers, Dave McCook, and Nathan Dahlberg. The event is on hiatus for 2021 due to the pandemic. We should return in 2022. Hope to see you then.
Dunlap Time Trial
The Dunlap Time Trial was a memorial to Steve Dunlap, an inspirational DBC racer who tragically died in August 1991 from complications with asthma at a young age. The race had been run on a number of different courses over the years. Since 2008 the event has been held in South Davis and uses the Yolo County Grasslands Park as its home base and starting point. The Davis Bike Club is not planning on sponsoring the event until future notice.
