Lamb Valley Route: Ride with GPS
Ride along quiet farm roads out to the lovely Lamb Valley tucked up against the foothills south of Capay. The winding Road 22 will take you past the Capay Cemetery, which is worth ducking into.
We will meet in Winters in the Rotary Park (‘gazebo’) parking lot across from Steady Eddy’s and depart sharply at the start time. We head up the east side of I-505 along Buckeye Road, before heading west and zig-zagging our way out to Lamb Valley. We’ll plan a refreshment stop in Capay at the Road Trip Grill and then zig-zag our way back to Winters.
We’re hoping for lots of almonds blossoms on this ride!
We will have a couple of regroups. When the ride has co-leaders, one of them will ride towards the back to check on slower riders. It is a mostly flat ride with the exception of a couple of rollers as we get into the Lamb Valley.
PLEASE: if you want to ride faster than Pace 3, we ask that you find another ride to join. (Or better yet, create and lead a ride that you will enjoy!) This ride is for those who would like to relax and cycle at a more ‘moderate’ pace.
Any weather cancellations will be posted to the DBC listserv.
