Davis Bike Club Membership Meeting – Moved to Nov 19th!

Join us for the next meeting as we return to our regular venue, the Veteran’s Memorial Center (Club Room).  With reduced daylight and winter riding weather on the way, we have decided to focus on

first aid response for cycling injuries for this meeting.  If you know of any non-club members who are curious about our club or would benefit from the meeting topic, please invite them.

Unfortunately, cycling injuries occur in spite of our best efforts to avoid them.  They can happen anywhere and at anytime and the first fifteen minutes of treatment are vitally important.  Please join us as one of our members, retired physician Jack Berger, shares his knowledge and experience on what we should do during those first 15 minutes when an injury occurs.  He will also discuss and show you what is contained in the orange First Aid Kits that the club provides for the Double Century, Foxy’s Fall Century,

Race Team events and club tours.  As a bonus, he’ll review some of the most common injuries and what should be done to treat them.

Jack’s presentation will last for approximately 30 minutes and there will

be a 15 minute Q&A session afterwards.*

It has been a while since pizza was served at a Membership Meeting, so we’ll have pizza on the 12th.  So that I can order enough pizza for all, pls shoot me a quick confirmation email by Nov 16th with the number in your party – thank you.

We’ll also do the usual meeting things such as Board Member announcements, introduce new members and guests, door prize raffle drawings, and hopefully receive an update on results of the completed Foxy Fall Century and the upcoming December DBC Holiday Party!
