Pope Valley Circuit

We will start at 8 am from Moscowite Corner, where Steel Canyon Road meets Highway 128. That’s a 50 minute drive from Davis. Try to arrive by 7:45 am, and be ready to leave at 8.                                        Pope Valley Circuit route

This is a nice bike ride–56 miles, 4,370 feet of climbing. Not too hard, but not easy. The climb up Ink Grade is not too tough, but it gets harder as you ascend from the oaks to the redwoods. The descent down Howell Mountain is technical–error on the side of caution.

We’ll take a break at the Pope Valley Store and regroup as necessary. After the ride, I’d like to stop in Winters–Hooby’s Brewing next to Steady Eddy’s–for lunch and a beer.
