Friday, April 10 — Arrival & Richmond Exploration
Optional ride on the Amtrak train from Davis to Richmond and spend the afternoon discovering the city’s history and waterfront views.
Check into the Hotel Mac in Historic Point Richmond, our base for the weekend’s rides.
In the evening, we’ll ride approximately 14 miles (100 ft elevation gain) along Richmond’s scenic waterfront, passing through Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline, the Richmond Bay Loop of the Bay Trail, Shimada Friendship Park, and Rosie the Riveter Park. Riders who wish to explore the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front Museum can take a short three-mile return ride back to the hotel afterward.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on your own.
Saturday, April 11 — Bridges of the Bay Ride
Pedal across three of the Bay Area’s most iconic bridges on fully separated bike paths:
- Richmond–San Rafael Bridge
- Golden Gate Bridge
- Bay Bridge
This 55.4-mile route (1,858 ft elevation gain) loops counterclockwise from Richmond, offering incredible views of the Bay and skyline. Riders will take the Treasure Island Ferry from San Francisco to Treasure Island ($5 per person, includes bike). Expect photo stops, water breaks, snacks, and a casual lunch (self paid) along the way.
Breakfast provided at the hotel. Lunch self paid on ride. Dinner on your own.
Sunday, April 12
Cap off the weekend with a relaxed community ride focused on wellness and connection. Join Rich City Rides from around 12 –2 p.m. at Unity Park for their Self-Care Sunday Ride—an easy 5–10 mile cruise to local Richmond parks. These rides celebrate community, park equity, and the simple act of slowing down to enjoy the beauty around us.
