Davis Double Century 2022 Results

The 53rd Davis Double Century is now history and it was a great success.  We had 229 finishers, plus 14 finishers from the Workers Ride. (List of finishers below).

The weather was great. It was rather warm late in the day but that is very common for the Davis Double Century. There were no torrential rains like those that we had in 2019!

Since the Davis Double Century has an open start and does not record start times, we cannot report the fastest overall time, but the first rider in was Joe Bootier from the Santa Rosa Cycling Club, arriving at 4:07pm. We had 2 finishers under the age of 20, Dakota Shelton, age 16 and Leonardo Bonanno, age 19. We also had 7 Septuagenarian finishers, with Greg Olson and David Kemp tying as the oldest riders at age 74.

Eric Norris, and Stanley Tsang are tied for first at 28 completions, with Tim Bartoe and Tom Buscheck tied at 27. But the CTC records only go back to 1993 and the Davis Double started in 1970! Tom Buscheck has actually finished the Davis Double 45 times!
