Family Bike & Camp Adventure: Davis to Lake Solano, June 20–21, 2026

All youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

Join us for a relaxed, family-friendly overnight cycling adventure from Davis to Lake Solano Park. This guided trip blends biking, camping, nature exploration, and community connection—perfect for riders of all ages and experience levels.

Saturday, June 20

We’ll gather at Westlake Market at 8:30 a.m. to load support vehicles and prepare for departure. Bike wheels roll at 9 a.m. as we ride less than 25 scenic country road miles toward Lake Solano.

Arriving around 11 a.m., we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch provided by DBC, with sandwich fixings including PB&J and deli options. After lunch, we’ll settle into our campsites, relax, and take advantage of the park’s swimming areas.

In the afternoon from 12-2 p.m., the Putah Creek Council will host optional hands-on activities at the native plant demonstration garden near the upper day-use area. Learn about California native plants with Stewardship Coordinator Maddi, try nature journaling, or create your own DIY flower press.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., featuring spaghetti with vegetarian and chicken sausage options, fresh bread, and classic s’mores for dessert. We’ll wind down as the sun sets around 8:30 p.m., followed by a peaceful night under the stars.

Sunday, June 21

Wake up to a hearty breakfast provided by DBC—eggs, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. After breaking camp, we’ll check out by 11 a.m. and ride to nearby Winters Farmers Market to explore local food and goods.

We’ll then return to Davis on a route less than 25 miles, ending back at Westlake Market. For those who’d like to stick around, we’ll wrap up the weekend with an optional, casual hangout at Lamppost Pizza.

Cost

Tour fee is $30 per person.  This covers the cost of the campsite and three meals (Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast).
