Carneros-Sonoma-Lovall Valley Lollypop

Last Updated: Pre 2017

This is a moderate Pace 3,5 NO DROP ride over back roads through the Carneros region, with a short snack stop in Sonoma, and then a loop through Lovall Valley. I will ride in the back and can offer some pointers to those who would like a bit of help with their climbing skills.

**We will meet to carpool/caravan at 8:00 AM at the Davis St. Park and Ride lot at the Davis St. offramp of I-80 in Vacaville. Link to Map

We will saddle up in the parking lot of The Shed BBQ and Deli near the intersection of Hwy 121 and Hwy 12, just South of Napa (Link to Map). The route heads West over rollers through Carneros vineyards to the first regroup point at Carmeros Brewing Company (mile 10.7) just before crossing over Hwy 12, en route to Sonoma. We will stop for a snack and bathroom break at Sonoma’s Best (mile 15.4). Then we head East and climb up to a loop through picturesque Lovall Valley, before heading back over the same route. We will regroup again at Carneros Brewing Company (mile 29.3), on our way back to the start.

Elevation Gain: 1400 feet

After the ride, for those who wish, we will enjoy conversation over lunch at The Shed BBQ and Deli, located at the start point of the ride. The address is: 3100 Golden Gate Drive Napa

If you prefer to meet the group at the start near Napa, figure that we should arrive there at about 8:35 AM. Please do not park in The Shed’s parking lot. There is plenty of street parking available opposite the restaurant.
