You are invited to join Stories on Stage Davis on February 10, 2024, featuring a reading from Scott Alumbaugh’s book On the Pony Express Trail: One Man’s Journey to Discover History from a Different Kind of Saddle.

Scott Alumbaugh is a long time DBC member and avid cyclist who has ridden numerous ultra-distance events. He was so taken with the Pony Express that at age 62 he bike packed 1,400 miles of the trail from St. Joseph, Missouri to Salt Lake City, Utah. His journey took five weeks on a route that was mostly off-road.

His book was recently featured in Feb 2024 at Stories on Stage Davis, with an excerpt from the book read by Larry Lew, an actor in the Sacramento area.
