A report of how the Davis Bike Club distributed philanthropy funds in 2017
In 2017, the Davis Bike Club authorized $10,000 to area charities. $700 was withheld to be used in support of the fund raising goals by members participating in charity rides. The remaining $9,300 was distributed to the charities listed below.
A request by the Philanthropy Director for an additional $,5000 in February was tabled until July, awaiting the revenue totals for the Davis Double Century and companion rides. Revenue gain from the Double greatly exceeded expectations, so in July the Board approved the additional $5,000 supplement. Distribution of these additional funds is pending.
Contributions were determined by the Director of Philanthropy in consultation with the Board of Directors.
